Corey brings more than 20 years of benefits and financial services experience to Blue Water Advisors. He previously worked with Merrill Lynch and MaximGroup before founding Blue Water Insurance Group in 2017. He assumed leadership of Guzzetta Benefit Services in 2020, and he continues to bring clients best-in-class benefit options and comprehensive wealth management services.
Corey holds the Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA) designation and completed the CFP® certification program at Rice University's Susanne M. Glasscock School of Continuing Studies in December 2023. He is a proud St. Edward's University alumnus and is very active in the local community, currently serving on the Dickinson ISD Board of Trustees and as the Voice of the Fightin' Dickinson Gator Football team. Previously, he served as President of the Rotary Club of Dickinson and has served as a board member for Dickinson Education Foundation and Communities in Schools—Bay Area. An outdoorsman at heart, Corey enjoys deer and bird hunting, fishing, scuba diving and water skiing, along with spending time with his wife Misty, son Coy and daughter Caryss.
What is your blue water?
Spending time with my family — both on and beneath the surface of actual blue water. I’ve been scuba diving since I was 12, and it’s a passion I’ve passed on to my wife and kids. Whether we’re diving coral reefs or just out on the lake, life feels fullest when we’re sharing those moments together.
